Omenie

The untranslatable studio. We build brands with the one quality machines can't name — and Romanians can't explain without their hands.

01 Manifesto

Every language has a word the others can't reach. Ours is omenie — the warmth you show a stranger, the decency nobody is watching you perform. We think brands should be built from the same material. So we design identities, websites and film with rigor a machine would respect, and a warmth it wouldn't understand.

Founded in Bucharest. Fluent in seven markets, three disciplines, and one untranslatable word.

03 What we do

Three crafts,
one temperament

Names, marks, voices and systems built to outlive the rebrand cycle. We start from the word a brand can't translate about itself, then design everything else to keep its promise.

  • Strategy & positioning
  • Naming & verbal identity
  • Visual identity systems
  • Typography & lettering
  • Packaging
  • Brand guidelines

Websites and products that feel hand-made at 60fps. Art direction, interaction design and front-end craft under one roof, so nothing gets lost between the deck and the DOM.

  • Art direction
  • UX & interaction design
  • Creative development
  • WebGL & 3D
  • E-commerce
  • Accessibility

Film, animation and real-time 3D that carries the brand's temperament into time. If the logo is the noun, this is the verb — how the brand enters a room.

  • Brand films
  • Motion identities
  • Real-time / WebGL scenes
  • Product animation
  • Title sequences
  • Sound direction

04 The word

Our whole strategy,
in one entry

omenie /o.meˈni.e/ noun · Romanian · untranslatable

The quality of being profoundly human toward others; warmth, decency and hospitality offered without calculation.

The thing your brand is missing when everything measures well and nothing feels like anything.

What this studio sells, disguised as design.

Usage note: attempts to translate omenie as "kindness" undersell it; attempts to automate it fail entirely. It survives translation only as work — see definitions 2 and 3.

05 How we work

Slow thinking,
fast shipping

/01

Ascultare

Listening. Weeks one and two are interviews, archives, shelf audits. We don't sketch until we can argue your side better than you can.

/02

Cuvântul

The word. Every project gets its untranslatable — one term the brand owns. It becomes the brief, the filter, and eventually the case study title.

/03

Mâna

The hand. Identity, site, and motion built together by the people who designed them. Nothing is thrown over a wall.

/04

Masa

The table. We launch with you, then stay for the meal — quarterly craft reviews for a year, on the house. That part is the omenie.
